From the FAST FORWARD exhibition
Telling my concerns, thoughts and stories about coping with the pandemic situation.
"NO | FE | AR" 2021
Triptych
Größe je | Size each: 30 x 30 x 4 cm
„For a long time I have been playing with the idea of making art - in this case paintings - with a more three-dimensional expression in form of different structures, which make it possible to also feel the art by touching it. Working with the theme of this exhibition, which is the corona pandemic, gave me the opportunity to further develop this idea.
The concept was actually intended for a larger scale project. So you can actually say that these small three paintings are some kind of prototypes.
With the art project "No Fear" I wanted to look at the pandemic issues from the view of a blind or visually impaired person, thus bringing awareness to the fact that some minorities are having a more difficult time in terms of coping with the pandemic.
People who are blind or visually impaired are already experiencing loneliness and isolation at higher levels than the general population. Through the pandemic, there is a whole new set of physical and psychological barriers when it comes to maintaining their independence - barriers which in the end might make them feel even more isolated.
"No fear" is made with juicy saturated paint. On top of the brush strokes you can see the dots representing the braille writing: NO | FE | AR
So these three small paintings are about creating awareness and giving comfort.“
Material: Acrylics and mixed media on stretched canvas. Vanished.

Fast Forward - within a minute
loaded with energy
inspired - for filled with happiness
reaching out, climbing up
I can almost touch my dreams.
Fast forward - within a minute
deloaded - trampling in sadness
tears are running, falling, dripping down my face
feeling empowered,
and led behind the light.
Fast forward - within a minute
my heart, my head is ponding
what is the truth?
Listening, reflecting, exaggerated
is it all a conspiracy?
Fast forward - within a minute
lets breath - take a break
yesterday - inside up
today, upside down
I must take a leap.
Fast forward - within a minute
time stood still
from celeration to deceleration
a new setup
with unknown rules.
Fast forward - within a minute
I cope, I live, I long,
Looking, watching my inside
seeking peace, seeking trust
finding my confidence.
Fast forward - within a minute
I‘m grateful - my life
I will cope, I will live
But I will always be longing.
At the end I still have …
_ hope _
